Good sports medicine doctor. Went to him for a second opinion after seeing an orthopedic surgeon for a shoulder injury I had. I appreciated Dr. Z's honesty and his proactive approach, rather than just taking meds and waiting around for my injury to heal itself. My first diagnosis from the previous surgeon said I had a labrum tear in my shoulder and the surgeon just recommended I take prescription medications, and then follow up after I finished my meds to see if I need a MRI and surgery. Dr. Z diagnosed me more elaborately and suspected I had a SLAP tear in my labrum. He elaborated on how the medications only mask the pain and don't actually cure the injury. So he suggested a proactive approach and that I should go to physical therapy while taking the medications to see if I can heal my injury quicker. We're planning to follow back up after I finish physical therapy and the meds. If my injury doesn't approve, then he suggested an MRI to see if the tear requires surgery to get better.
Lovedddd my appointment with Dr. Z! He really took his time with me and was super thorough. Awesome bedside manner and friendly. Will be visiting him again for sure!
Left feeling totally heard and with a plan to address my injury. This was a second opinion but will always be my choice for sports medicine going forward

I did not see the provider. They called me the night before my appointment to say I needed to come before my appointment to get an xray. I told them I was already xrayed this week and there was no break, so I brought the report. They said I still needed to get xrayed. They had to send an order to radiology, who needed to recheck me in. Between all the back and forth, I was there for an hour with still no xray (still never fully checked in at radiology). I couldn't wait around for another hour just to get ANOTHER xray to confirm what I already knew then have the doctor review it. The level of incompetence at the offices I was sent back and forth between made me want to just forget it all and go elsewhere.
Great lots of grip

The only thing I would say needs improvement is the wait time. I had to register but that took an hour process that I felt was too extensively long.
Doc is a nice guy and professional. The staff was supportive and professional but also they were real people and not robots just doing their job. They took care of my needs as a patient and were excellent about it the whole time. Showed me they actually sympathized and understood why I was there. The pain I was in was recognized and I am now moving in the right direction.
