About Dr. Justin Weigel

Dr. Weigel, a native of Kansas, received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas where he graduated with honors. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Dr. Weigel’s training included rotations in advanced care, low vision, pediatrics, contact lenses, and primary care. He currently is a partner with Dr. Troyer at Insight Vision Center, a practice that includes diagnosis, management, and treatment of ocular disease and refractive conditions of the eye. Dr. Weigel currently resides in Olathe with his wife, Jen, who is a Neonatal ICU nurse at Children’s Mercy, 2 sons, Camden and Beckett, and daughter Brielle. Dr. Weigel enjoys taking time to run with his 2 dogs and kids and is an avid sports fan that closely follows the Jayhawks during football and especially basketball season.
