What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and affirming. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to be themselves, explore challenges openly, and build on their existing strengths. I strive to create an environment where clients feel respected, understood, and empowered, regardless of their age, background, identity, or life experiences. I tailor therapy to the unique needs of each individual and family, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices while remaining flexible, practical, and responsive to each client’s goals. Depending on your needs, I may incorporate approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and neurodiversity-affirming interventions. I have a particular passion for working with children, adolescents, transitional-age youth, autistic individuals, and Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based, focusing on helping clients better understand themselves, develop effective coping skills, improve relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence. In our work together, you can expect a balance of compassion, curiosity, and practical problem-solving. I believe therapy should not only provide a space for reflection and healing, but also equip clients with tools they can use in their everyday lives. Whether we are addressing anxiety, trauma, behavioral concerns, family conflict, relationship challenges, or life transitions, my goal is to help clients build resilience, increase self-understanding, and create meaningful, lasting change. I am also deeply committed to culturally responsive and inclusive care. I recognize that culture, identity, family, community, and lived experiences all influence how we experienc
