What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide a non-judgmental and compassionate space to explore thoughts and feelings, build upon your strengths, change patterns that no longer serve you, and develop effective means of coping. I work with children, adolescents and adults with a range of therapeutic needs, including mood disorders, anxiety, life transitions and relationship stressors. I also provide assessments for children and adolescents who may require and benefit from accommodations in school or for standardized testing.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe in individualized and flexible approaches to therapy. I work primarily from a psychodynamic perspective, meaning that I believe past experiences shape our present and that insight into these patterns can help enact change and promote improved well-being. I also incorporate CBT, DBT, relational, family systems, and mindfulness approaches. The most important ingredient to psychotherapy is comfort and connection with your therapist. My focus is on providing a space in which you feel understood and supported in attaining your personal goals.
