“Dr. S is a warm, awesome doc. If you can get in to see her, please god DO. I had the same GP for over half my life and when she retired I was so scared to jump back in but after dumping my medical history into her and the nurses ears I really felt seen and heard. I feel safe under her care, and as a larger bodied individual I’m sometimes hesitant that my worries will be dismissed. I did NOT feel like that here.”

The whole experience - right from the staff to the doctor, everything was very systematic and professional. Dr. Spangenberg was very thorough and explained all the tests she was going to order. She was culturally respectful and polite while being cheerful, funny and having excellent bedside manners! I was very comfortable talking to her. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. It was a nice surprise to see a follow-up message from the doctor just outlining my service options post-appointment. Dr. Spangenberg and her team are a benchmark to follow.

Avoid. My overall experience is one of the worst I have ever had.
The appointment itself was great! Dr S was friendly and thorough. She did quickly say that I would get two vaccines and then seemed to forget about that, but the office part left me feeling very good.
After I left, I was a bit confused about how to schedule some of the other appointments she wanted me to have, but I thought there would be some follow up . No.
She had me come in for bloodwork the next day, and told me she would call me with results. She never did. Apparently, her practice is to relegate ALL communications to her nurse, and I got unclear and potentially dangerous medical advice as a result. Despite several attempts to clear things up, I STILL could not talk to the actual doctor, and I am frankly in disbelief that this could be an acceptable level of care.

I'm somebody who doesn't particularly like doctors visits, to the point where it's been a few years since I've been. This visit may have changed my mind. The doctor was kind and actually listened to what I had to say. She made fantastic recommendations and suggestions and made sure I was comfortable with everything. 10 outta 10 would recommend.

This was my first time with Dr. Spangenberg I am considering making her my new primary doctor. My father’s side of the family has a very long list of death related to cancer. She listened to my concerns and gave me a path forward more than any other doctor has.

I've been on the hunt for a new primary for a while now- and Dr. Spangenberg is great. After losing my other pcp, I needed to find a new doctor and I wanted someone who I could trust would help me get to the bottom of all my health concerns. Dr Spangenberg listened, was very friendly and took all my concerns seriously. I'm relieved and feel like I'm on the right path to a healthier life! I highly recommend her and this health center!

Dr. Spangenberg is an excellent doctor and put me, a noted doctor-fearer, at ease! It can be hard to find a doctor who really hears you and is compassionate, but this doctor is fantastic!

Love her bedside manner. Very friendly, explained everything she was doing, made me feel very comfortable (even during uncomfortable parts of the exam). I felt heard, and felt that my concerns were taken seriously.

I saw Dr. Spangenberg for the first time last week, and I am so grateful to have her as my new PCP. I was extremely anxious due to complicated, progressive, and now somewhat frightening symptoms, but Dr. Spangenberg immediately put me at ease; after years of feeling pretty hopeless about my health, I now finally feel like I am on the path to getting some answers (and a lot of relief!) I have never had a pediatrician advocate more for my child or be more passionate about helping my child. My son went in for an appointment as he was struggling academically and his school thought he may have a learning issue. Dr. Spangenberg was so helpful and caring, I was just so impressed. I live in the west suburbs but will be making the commute to her from now on as I have yet to find a pediatrician in my sons 6 years that I was more impressed with!
