“Dr. Dennis-Zarate was extremely friendly, listened carefully when I described my eye issues, asked thoughtful and pointed questions, and conducted an exam. Almost immediately, she was able to zero in on the cause. She submitted a prescription while describing her findings. The entire experience was maybe 20 minutes and I got exactly the help I needed. Incredibly knowledgeable, great communication.”

About Dr. Kathleen Dennis-Zarate
Dr. Dennis-Zarate is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist specializing in Adult and Pediatric Ophthalmology. She received her Bachelor's degree from UCLA and earned her Doctor of Medicine from Brown University, Program in Medicine, in Providence, Rhode Island. She completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Chicago, where she served as Chief Resident and received the Harvey Z. Klein Award for excellence in patient care during her residency. Dr. Dennis-Zarate specializes in small incision, no-stitch cataract surgery as well as adult and pediatric strabismus surgery. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and enjoys spending time with her two children.

It was relatively easy to schedule an appointment with this doctor. She is not in our medical group so it was understood that it would be private pay, but it was well worth it. Dr. Zarate is very knowledgable and has great bedside manners
