About Dr. Kathleen Gross

Dr. Kathleen Gross is a board-certified, New York State-licensed optometrist who provides comprehensive eye care for all ages. She sees patients at Downtown Eyecare in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Gross holds a doctoral degree in optometry and a master's degree in vision science from SUNY State College of Optometry, where she graduated with honors (Beta Sigma Kappa). She completed her internship training at the SUNY University Eye Center in specialty contact lenses, low vision, and glaucoma. She also trained in ocular diseases and pediatrics at Woodhull Medical Center. Dr. Gross is passionate about health care and sharing knowledge with her peers and the public. She is a former president of the SUNY Student Chapter of the American Public Health Association (APHA) and was the first optometry graduate to be awarded the Herman Biggs Health Policy Scholar Award, the ADA Foundation's Dr. Pat & Patrick Cummings Scholarship, and a student fellowship of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), among others. She has published articles in Vision Science journals and is a board member of a non-profit organization, Eye Health Institute.
