What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, with particular experience treating depression, including treatment-resistant depression, bipolar depression, and postpartum depression. I also frequently treat anxiety disorders, PTSD, ADD and ADHD, and related psychiatric concerns. My approach is collaborative and personalized. I enjoy working with patients who want to better understand their mental health, explore their treatment options, and take an active role in working toward meaningful improvement in their lives. I primarily treat adults ages 18 to 65. After you request an appointment, a member of our patient care team will contact you to confirm your appointment details, review insurance or payment information, and help ensure that your needs are a good fit for our practice.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first appointment is an opportunity for me to understand what you have been experiencing and what you hope to improve. We will discuss your current symptoms, mental health history, previous treatments, medications, lifestyle, relationships, and other factors that may be affecting your well-being. From there, we will develop a personalized treatment plan together. I use a shared decision-making approach, which means I will explain my recommendations, discuss the benefits and considerations of different options, and make treatment decisions collaboratively with you. My goal is not only to reduce symptoms, but to help you improve your overall functioning, quality of life, and long-term mental health.
