Dr. Kathryn Miller, PhD

Dr. Kathryn Miller, PhD

Psychologist
IL
Hello! I am a fully telehealth private practice and am accepting new clients from anywhere in Illinois. At this time, I accept BCBS, United, and Aetna PPO insurances. I also accept self-pay clients. Unfortunately, I am not able to accept out-of-network insurances or provide a superbill. I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary. Everybody has issues in their life and could use a helpful someone to talk to. Sometimes our struggles go beyond the help of a friend or family member. It takes courage to reach out, and I do not take that lightly. Together, we will work to better understand why things are so difficult right now and explore ways to hopefully provide you some comfort and relief. You do not have to be alone in your struggles.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have a wide range of experiences that allow me to meet you where you are at. I've worked in college counseling, hospitals, nursing homes, private practice, and community mental health settings. My focus is depression, anxiety, spirituality, stress, caregivers, health issues, career, relationships, and women's issues.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Using evidence-based therapies I help you navigate life's challenges. My goal is to help you with increasing insight, self-advocacy, and implementing change while also providing coping skills. I let the session happen naturally and you get to talk about whatever is on your mind. You will never have to go anywhere you are not ready to go. I am here to walk beside you in your journey.
