Dr. Nguyen is a board-certified, residency-trained optometrist who has dedicated her career to providing her patients with the highest standard of care.
Dr. Nguyen is originally from Montreal, Canada. She earned her Doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Nguyen earned numerous distinctions for clinical and academic honors during school and founded a successful mentorship program to support incoming optometry students. She completed a residency specializing in ocular disease, refractive surgery co- management, and specialty contact lens fitting.
She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry, and New York State Optometric Association. Dr. Nguyen is fluent in English, French, and Vietnamese and working proficiency in Spanish.

Very friendly and professional. To note the office other than the exam room is within the lobby of a healthcare clinic, which wasn't busy when I was there, but if you prefer a more private experience it's something to consider. Also, frame options are quite limited. I'm very happy with my experience, prescription was immediately emailed so that I could go shopping for new frames which I wanted to do at multiple frame stores so it was perfect for me.

I had a great visit with Dr. Nguyen-Duong. The office was modern and well equipped and the checkin process was friendly and fast. Dr Nguyen-Duong was friendly, thorough with her exam and asked a lot of questions. Between that and an actual digital retinal scan that they conduct, I felt like all bases were covered.
Especially satisfying was the fact that I had to ask about purchasing glasses, they do not seem to be there for the express purpose of selling you eyewear, which I often feel when getting an eye exam.

I had a fantastic experience at Zak Optometry. I visited for a glasses adjustment and an eye exam. Dr. Nguyen performed my eye exam and was incredibly efficient, friendly, and thorough. She took the time to explain my results clearly and recommended several options for contacts to address the issues I was experiencing with my current lenses. The new contacts fit perfectly and are very comfortable. Alec assisted with adjusting my glasses and was both quick and personable. A big thank you to Dr. Nguyen and Alec for their excellent care!
