My experience as a clinical psychologist in Houston, where I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston, has taught me that issues with substance use are completely under-treated and evidence-based treatments are not widely available. Treatment models such as moderation and harm reduction approaches are validated alternatives to complete abstinence; however, the general treatment community currently does not support this. Each person is different, and one treatment model cannot be applied to all. This is what compelled me to start Elysian. At Elysian, we assess your needs and tailor your treatment specifically to your circumstances, with goals that you identify for yourself. We aim to provide a personalized experience not available in other programs and have the ability to pivot based on your progress and feedback.
