Getting to know Dr. Kellie-Ann Ffrench

I help women who are struggling with chronic illness and feel afraid, lost, and powerless reclaim their vibrant health, get great relief from stress and anxiety, and ignite a deeper level of healing. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2001 from The University of Georgia and have been licensed to practice psychology in the state of Florida since 2003. My clinical training and experience have taken place in a variety of settings, including a university counseling center, a community mental health center, and in private practice. During graduate school, I became interested in women’s holistic health, recognizing that healing is most impactful when it occurs on all levels of being, not just the psychological aspect. I’d like to share my own story of energetic healing. Shortly after graduate school, I worked as a research analyst in an office. Although I wanted to start a private practice, I felt hesitant and unsure about taking such a big step into the unknown. I began to experience mysterious abdominal pain that had no obvious pattern and grew worse over time. Physicians and medical tests did not provide clear answers. One sleepless night, I read a chapter about third chakra imbalance and how it relates to issues with the digestive system and abdomen. The third chakra is connected to personal power and self-esteem, so an imbalance in this energetic center can result in specific physical symptoms. At that moment, I realized that my pain was sending me an important message: it was time to stop playing small and time to start my private practice! As soon as I made that connection and made a commitment to myself to begin this new journey, my energy shifted. The next day, the abdominal pain was gone. As I started the process of establishing my practice, I would get twinges of pain. I treated those twinges as nudges from my intuitive guidance, and I would tune in and listen. Within a few months, the pain completely disappeared and never returned.
