Getting to know Dr. Kelly Phillips

Hi, I’m Dr. Kelly Phillips, and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I received my PhD in Clinical Forensic Psychology from Alliant International University and MS in Criminology with an emphasis in Victimology from CSU Fresno. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, and I believe therapy is about finding new ways to cope when old strategies no longer serve us. My role is to collaborate with clients to uncover the answers already within them and to build lasting solutions together. Much of my work centers on helping individuals navigate difficult life experiences, including managing the impact of anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. I also specialize in supporting clients who are working through the effects of narcissistic relationships with parents, partners, or others in their lives. My goal is always to provide relief from symptoms while helping clients gain clarity and confidence in moving forward. I’ve always been drawn to puzzles and problem-solving, which naturally led me to this field. I enjoy piecing together information to help clients see the bigger picture and feel empowered in their journey. My style is collaborative, direct, and inquisitive. I incorporate humor when appropriate, approach problems from fresh angles, and make sure clients feel heard and understood. I see myself as a guide, someone who helps clients recognize their choices and feel hopeful about the paths ahead. Prior to becoming a Clinical Psychologist, I played collegiate volleyball and was a volleyball coach for 10 years. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my cats, playing video games, and seeking adventure, especially roller coasters.
