About Dr. Kevin Kwan
Dr. Kwan received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Kentucky, where he graduated summa cum laude. He concurrently completed a one-year research fellowship at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, studying the therapeutic effects of mindfulness-based practice on adolescents with ADHD.
Following graduation, he attended the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he was the recipient of the Kirk School of Medicine Scholarship. Between his third and fourth years of medical school, Dr. Kwan completed a year-long translational research fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, studying diabetic wound healing and neuronal involvement in inflammatory skin disorders under the guidance of Dr. Amy S. Paller. He then completed an emergency-medicine-focused transitional-year internship at Kaweah Delta Medical Center.
Dr. Kwan finished his dermatology residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where he authored papers in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and other peer-reviewed journals. He has also presented talks at the World Congress of Dermatology in Singapore, where he was one of five presenters to receive the International Society for Dermatology Global Educator Award. During his training, Dr. Kwan contributed to Lies and Weddings, a New York Times best seller and TIME “Must-Read Book of the Year” (2024).
