About Dr. Kevin Lucas

Dr. Kevin Lucas received his Doctor of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in 1998. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Chemistry from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Dr. Lucas has been in practice since 1998 and specializes in glaucoma treatment and contact lens fitting. As an optometrist, he applies his knowledge and experience to each patient’s particular needs as they relate to vision problems and overall eye health. In addition to addressing available treatment options, Dr. Lucas enjoys his role in continuously helping patients understand their eye health and vision needs.

I have always gone to Birch Lake Eye Center and absolutely love the way they treat you. I didn't have a wait for my appointment I was seen right away. The staff is always very friendly and treat you like family. If you are ever in need of an optometrist this is the place to go.

Had a great visit with the doc, even though he had to deliver bad news. Very ethical in nature, nobody tried to push me into things that weren't necessary, and in this case, doc wouldn't even let me get set up for new optics, my eyes are bad enough that I need surgery first. Not happy that I have to go through that, but I can't help but respect the professional and ethical lines being observed in such a situation. I wish he worked at clinics closer to where I'll be living in the near future!
