Dr. Lyu is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides psychological evaluations and comprehensive diagnostic assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Lyu has worked in a variety of settings, including hospital, forensic, school, and community mental health. She has experience with providing psychological assessments (cognitive functioning, personality and emotional functioning) for diagnostic and treatment purposes, and she has also specialized in testing specifically for ADHD and ASD. Her goal is to help clients feel understood and to empower individuals to take positive and concrete steps toward health and wellness in all areas of their lives. What to expect: In a confidential and comfortable environment, children and their families participate in a thorough interview process to assess and evaluate the nature of the present concerns. A flexible testing battery (the instruments used for evaluation) is individualized for each child’s unique background and the goals of the assessment. At the conclusion of the evaluation, a feedback session is held with the parents and child to discuss information gathered during testing, overall impressions, and recommendations going forward. A comprehensive written report is also provided for each family. Note: Dr. Lyu does not provide psychotherapy in our clinic, she provide psychological testing services only.
