About Kirsten Manges
Kirsten Manges is a licensed acupuncturist and nationally certified herbalist. She maintains her private practice in Manhattan and treats patients in Brooklyn at Lutheran Hospital in both Neurology and Labor & Delivery departments with Claudia Citkovitz. She received her Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York with integrative clinical experience at NYU’s Initiative for Women with Disabilities.

Kristen is wonderful. She was an integral part of my pregnancy and delivery. She paid a house call when I was in labor and was able to get my stalled labor labor kick started. It felt like pure magic but in fact was just highly skilled acupuncture! Highly highly recommend and excited to check out this beautiful new location!

I've had treatment from several acupuncturists now and Kirsten fat surpasses the others - she is the best. Her kind, professional manner puts one at ease right away, and she is extremely knowledgable about a wide variety of conditions. I saw immediate improvement in my symptoms and recommend to all who will listen. Office is clean and zen.

A long overdue review! I saw Kirsten during the last few weeks of my pregnancy and after delivery for postpartum recovery. Kirsten is incredibly thoughtful and has the most calming energy. I think the only time I was able to get a few minutes of restorative sleep with a newborn was laying on her table! She truly listens and develops a holistic approach to each patient. I left each appointment feeling better than I had when I walked in ..... you can't ask for much more.

I have been going to Kirsten for about 8 months now for an old knee problem I got playing soccer back in Ireland, I have played soccer at a high level for many years and I have had surgery to try and see if it will help and it didn't, the pain was back once I started running again so I had to do injections to help me get through a game. I have lived with this for years, I was talking to a friend one day about it and they recommend I try acupuncture so I said why not what do I have to lose. I asked around and someone recommended Kirsten at wellspring Health so I booked a session and it was the best decision I ever made, after about 5/6 sessions my knee was felling the best it was in years... I was back running after about 10 sessions, I am not training for the 2022 New York marathon! I am so happy I did this, and I couldn't thank Kristen enough, she is not just an amazing acupuncturist, but she is an absolute sweetheart of a lady. Thank you so much for all your help and I'm looking forward to the next session.

Kirsten Manages acupuncture treatments are given with great care. She has an amazing talent to zoom into problem areas and find the proper solutions. She has done wonders for my neck pain and my wrists for instance. The place has a zen quality and is beautifully arranged, as well as new and clean. The location (just off Union Square) is a extra plus with all those subway lines converging there.

I went to Kirsten during IVF treatment and saw her throughout my high risk pregnancy. Kirsten is a true healer and I believe that my successful pregnancy was in part due to her support and expertise. She treats the whole patient, asks all the right questions and goes above and beyond, especially for pregnant patients. I can't recommend Kirsten manages highly enough. She's the best.

I love Kristen: she's a terrific practitioner and has a wide spectrum of techniques to treat a myriad of medical problems from muscle pain to cough, stress, acne and even aging. She really listens and approached each concern uniquely. Plus, she had a great office located near every subway. I trust her with my whole family.

Kirsten is the best! She's such a warm and comforming energy in addition to her thoughtful practice. I saw her in my first pregnancy for help with a swelling ankle. she was also able to successfully flip my baby at 37 weeks with more of her session. She is a true healer/ Highly recommend.

Kirsten Manages Acupuncture is so incredible! Kirsten has been a major voice in my journey with Endometriosis and PCOS, and has helped me so much through acupuncture and ATP, as well as being my herbalist. She has created such a calming, healing environment that I truly love being in. She is so wonderful, and I truly cannot recommend her enough.

Life balance game changer
"I have always battled my auto immune disease as a young child from the age of 11 with psoriasis. I’m 41 now. Yea I’ve had my course of great moments and clear skin and no joint pain but for a good 20 years it was extremely problematic emotionally and physically. There were years when I was 70% covered with plaque psoriasis. After my 3rd child and 3 years ago after meeting Kirsten with a steady regime I am clear of Psoriasis without any steroids or drugs. Slept through the night!!!!! (FINALLY!)
32 weeks pregnant; suffering from heartburn, nausea & vomiting. Kirsten was recommended to me by my doula. This was my first acupuncture experience ever; I’m terrified of needles! However, also desperate for natural relief & support of my body’s innate potential. After only 1 treatment, I slept through the night!!!!! First time in MONTHS!!!!! So impressed with Kirsten & this new world of acupuncture I’m discovering. Can’t wait for more!

"33 weeks pregnant. I’ve seen Kirsten 3x so far & my heartburn & vomiting has already been greatly reduced. My sleep quality has also improved. In preparation for my most recent prenatal appointment w my OBGYN, Kirsten did a Moxa treatment to help encourage my baby to be head DOWN (not in a breech position). Sure enough, at the appointment only a few hours after seeing Kirsten, the doctor confirmed my baby was in an optimal birthing position: head down all the way! HURRAY!!! Thank you, Kirsten!"

"40 weeks pregnant. Kirsten is doing labor prep acupuncture. Serious energy surfing! She stimulated acupoints that caused energy to swirl across my lower abdomen & cascade down my belly, like water spilling over the side of an infinity pool. I swear I could feel my baby slowly moving down into my pelvis like it was on a slide. Such an amazing, beautifully intense experience! Thank you!!!"

I'm so glad my coworker recommended Kirsten to me. She is not only attentive to treating my chronic issues (TMJ, shoulder tension, and migraines) and other pain/inflammation that arises from other stressors, but she is also great at working with you if your insurance is out-of-network with her. She's also very understanding and flexible in scheduling appointment changes, even if they are last-minute. Thanks, Kirsten!
