About Dr. Kristen Brown

Dr. Brown is a Dry Eye specialist with over 30 years of experience in eye care. She is Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Eyewell. Dr. Brown completed her doctoral training at the University of California, School of Optometry. She has completed two Ocular Disease Residencies, a 2-year Fellowship in Ocular Disease, and a Research Fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Brown is holds academic appointments at New England College of Optometry (NECO) and MCPHS School of Optometry. Prior to Eyewell, Dr. Brown was the Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs at NECO and the Clinical Director at TLC Laser Centers - where she oversaw two high-volume laser refractive and cataract surgery clinics. Dr. Brown is a Diplomate in the Cornea, Contact Lens and Refractive Technology Section of the American Academy of Optometry - a distinction achieved by fewer than 1% of optometrists. Dr. Brown conducts clinical research in the areas of dry eye, ocular surface disease, keratoconus and ultra wide-field retinal imaging.
