About Dr. Kristie Garcia
Dr. Kristie Garcia is an optometric physician, Florida Board certified in therapeutic eye care. She provides comprehensive and routine eye care for children and adults, including prescribing glasses, as well as pre- and post-operative care for cataract and LASIK surgeries. Dr. Garcia is experienced in evaluating and treating eye conditions such as cataracts, dry eye, and blepharitis. In her practice, she strives to incorporate the latest optometric developments and advancements.
Dr. Garcia graduated with honors from Nova Southeastern University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then earned a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science and a Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, graduating with honors. While at Nova, she was on the Dean's List and participated in Vision Screenings for Opening Eyes for Special Olympics. Dr. Garcia is a member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, and Broward County Optometric Association.
A native Floridian, Dr. Garcia chose to become an optometrist to help patients the way she was helped as a child when glasses made a significant difference in her life. Having been a patient at Eye Surgery Associates as a child, she was delighted to join the practice as a physician.
Dr. Garcia currently accepts new patients at all three Eye Surgery Associates locations in Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, and Weston. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
