Kristin P. Fernandez, DO, is a board-certified gynecologist in Jacksonville, Florida. After receiving her medical degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Fernandez completed her internship and residency training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She has been practicing in the Jacksonville area since 1998. .None of my pains were being taken seriously and no diagnostics were ran. I’m used to getting a pregnancy test, Pap smear, a breast exam, and at least listened to at my annual from other doctors. I was told I was only told my problems were what an old ER record said and not what I was experiencing and just to continue treatment for something that was no longer an issue. Still in pain and exhausted later that night I ran my own tests to find my issue.

Dr. Fernandez was excellent. Kind, considerate, listens and takes time to explain things when needed. Does the thing Drs. Do where they ask you a bunch of questions in addition to treating you to try to understand your full needs, but she did it in a way where I felt like we were just having a conversation. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Fernandez is a wonderful listener. After a discussion about my howed me the biological makeup of my problem area. Lastly came the physical exam and suggestions to help resolve my problem.
Dr. Fernandez has a pleasant manner, which made me feel comfortable and confident that my problem will be resolved.

First they told me that my date of birth was wrong, and that they couldn't apply the insurance for me like that. I called the insurance company and they told me that it was fine, that in the office when they registered me in their system they made a mistake and put another date. The secretaries didn't want to fix it, they just cancelled my appointment and gave me a sheet to have an ultrasound specifically of my right breast and to come back for a consultation. They don't even know the reason why I was going to the consultation, it was because of my left breast, not the right... they want me to go back so they can keep telling me that my date of birth is wrong and that they're not going to fix it? Your service is very strange.

As a new patient, I was a bit nervous, but Dr. Fernandez made me feel incredibly relaxed and comfortable right from the start. She was friendly, informative, and gentle throughout the entire visit, taking the time to answer all my questions without feeling rushed. I left feeling confident in her care and will definitely be returning for my future appointments. Highly recommend!

Dr. Fernandez is very knowledgeable, friendly and makes you feel comfortable.
She asks the right questions to understand your problem then shows you with detailed pictures what is going on with your problems. Then she suggestions how you can resolve your issues. Dr. Fernandez is my new gyn doctor, who I look forward to seeing again.

I scheduled an appointment. They confirmed my app 10 times yet NO one ever called me to tell me the dr could not see me until September. I drove an hour to my appointment and was turned away. Imagine. I have a history of issues and they turned me away.
I have seen the dr on other off years for issues. Never asked me why I was there just dismissed me.
Incompetence. Never going back.

I booked my appointment with my Medicaid insurance card. When I arrived they took copies of it and reassured me that they accepted the insurance provided. Once they had finished seeing me, I was speaking to the doctor about referrals and mentioned my insurance. She said she doesn’t even take Medicaid at her office and the front office should have caught it prior to me being seen. She was going to speak to them because it was an error on their end. I received a bill with the full amount due and I cannot get ahold of their office now.

First gyno consult at Women’s Care with Dr. Fernandez! She and the other staff ensured I was comfortable. Dr. Fernandez took the time to walk me through my concerns. We have a follow-up scheduled and I am hopeful I will see results.

I was late to my appointment which was completely my fault, the staff rescheduled me, but treated me poorly the entire time. I already have a lot of anxiety revolving around being at a doctors office due to my anxiety and depression, and I felt judged and mistreated for the majority of my visit. I only received a friendly smile from my doctor, everyone else was passive aggressive or completely still faced as they provided me care. I was extremely uncomfortable and nervous. I booked an appointment to be more in touch with my health as a female, but I ultimately felt judged for not being educated enough or having all of the information I needed to make informed decisions. I left the appointment crying and very insecure about myself.
