Dr. Kristin Thanavaro earned her Bachelor of Arts in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University. She graduated with honors with a Doctor of Medicine from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Thanavaro completed an internal medicine residency with the University of Maryland Medical Center and a cardiology fellowship from The Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia. She is board-certified in internal medicine, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. After more than a decade of practicing medicine, Dr. Thanavaro’s clinical interests include preventive cardiology, hypertension management, women’s health, echocardiography, and nuclear stress testing.

When not working, Dr. Thanavaro enjoys spending time with her husband, young daughter, and dogs. They like trying new restaurants, traveling, and cheering on the Colorado Avalanche.
