Dr. Hayford is a graduate of Dartmouth Medical School (now Geisel School of Medicine). He completed his internal medicine residency at the Johns Hopkins University/Sinai Hospital Program. With a compassionate approach to care, Dr. Hayford believes that each patient is unique. He starts with the concept that we are all family. His philosophy is rooted in the idea that “the secret to good care is to care,” echoing Dr. Peabody’s famous words.

Good doctor. Keeps things light while emphasizing items that need attention. Only had one appointment, so not clear on the follow-up, but appreciate the fact that he stressed doing an appointment after labs come back. I have found myself referring back to useful insights from the appointment.

I was not seen by this provider since I would have had to wait for an hour past my scheduled appointment time. I found out after I arrived that the doctor was “running behind” while the doctor was attending other patients. This was only told to me after filling out intake forms and copying my license. There was not a single other patient in the waiting room. At this point I left and I won’t be going back.

Finally a doctor that is friendly, engaging with care and does a thorough assessment! It’s a hike from DC to Bethesda, but willing to take it. And did I mention his staff?! Bloodwork was a breeze. And I have hidden veins. The first phlebotomist didn’t want to risk it so she bought in a more qualified one. Great teamwork!

Yes, I will definitely be returning to see Dr. Hayford, as I was impressed by his reviews. My previous provider retired, therefore, I was desperate to find someone competent, knowledgeable and well-mannered as Dr. Hayford. I really like the fact that he took a good amount of time to get to know me and how he was able to see some of my prior treatments in his laptop and responded to each one. I was also impressed as to his concern for my current medications which could be causing some of my long-term ailments. I would highly recommend Dr. Hayford as he was worth the 55 minute drive!!!!!!!

I was a little nervous due to having doctors who didn’t really listen to my needs or rushed me in the past, but he seems to genuinely care about you as a person. He’s super friendly and attentive, and the appointment will genuinely be centered around you and your concerns. Very pleasant and comfortable to be around.
