“I enjoyed being seen by Dr. Abbas! She had clear communication and genuinely listened to any of my concerns.
However, the sales associate I met with was extremely pushy and made me uncomfortable when trying on frames. She kept pushing different frames on me and repeating "Let me see" as soon as I would put a pair on. My eyes were dilated so I needed time to adjust as I looked at myself in the frames. I would appreciate a less aggressive process especially after I said I was not committing to a new pair that day. ”

Dr. Abbas graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Biology and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry. She completed her undergraduate and graduate studies in an accelerated track and received honors throughout her education.
Her clinical training included primary eye care, ocular disease, pediatrics, vision therapy, dry eye treatment, and contact lenses. Dr. Abbas is passionate about patient education and enjoys helping patients better understand the important connection between eye health and overall wellness. She has been part of Bergen Optometry since 2019.
Raised in Bergen County, New Jersey, Dr. Abbas enjoys hiking, reading, and traveling in her free time.
