“I enjoyed being seen by Dr. Abbas! She had clear communication and genuinely listened to any of my concerns.
However, the sales associate I met with was extremely pushy and made me uncomfortable when trying on frames. She kept pushing different frames on me and repeating "Let me see" as soon as I would put a pair on. My eyes were dilated so I needed time to adjust as I looked at myself in the frames. I would appreciate a less aggressive process especially after I said I was not committing to a new pair that day. ”

Dr. Laila Abbas offers the most comprehensive eye care services and uses the latest innovative technologies.
Dr. Abbas is a graduate of New Jersey Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Biology and received her Doctorate from the State University of New York, College of Optometry. She completed her undergraduate and graduate studies in an accelerated track and was recognized with honors throughout her schooling. Dr. Abbas received training during her internships in primary care, ocular disease, vision therapy, and pediatrics. She is passionate about patient care and enjoys helping her patients understand how amazingly complex and important our eyes are. She has been with Bergen Optometry since 2019.
She grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey. Her hobbies include hiking, reading, and travel.
