Dr. Laura Arreaza, MD, joined Capital Women’s Care Division 38 in 2024 after completing her OB-GYN residency at Wellspan York Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Arreaza completed her undergraduate education at the College of William and Mary prior to obtaining her medical degree from University of London in partnership with Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia. Dr. Arreaza is passionate about comprehensive and evidence-based care of patients throughout every stage of their lives. Her interests range from providing annual gynecologic care and maintenance of contraception, monitoring of high risk pregnancy, and the treatment and counseling of abnormal uterine bleeding and menopause. She strongly believes in patient centered care and promotes patient autonomy and joint decision making. Dr. Arreaza is also a native Spanish speaker and is excited to start providing care to the Latina population of NoVa! Dr. Arreaza performs the full scope of procedures in obstetrics and gynecology including vaginal delivery and cesarean section, external cephalic version, sterilization procedures, all hysterectomy approaches including minimally invasive Da Vinci robotic surgery, operative hysteroscopy, and endometrial ablative surgery. In her spare time Dr. Arreaza enjoys reading novels, keeping up with her four nieces and nephews, and gardening. She is excited to be moving back and providing care for the residents of Northern Virginia!
