About Dr. Laura Marx

Laura Marx received her Doctor of Audiology from Northern Illinois University in 2012. While in school, she was involved in a variety of experiences, including participating in hearing screenings for AIDS patients and children with special needs during a philanthropic trip to Taiwan. She has been with Connect Hearing for over seven years and has taken on more responsibility with a Senior Hearing Care Provider role for the last three years. Laura found a calling in audiology early in life, stemming from hearing issues she experienced with childhood illness. With a background in pre-nursing, she is able to combine her medical experiences with her audiology care. She feels that good hearing is vital to a healthy life and is passionate about trying to listen through her patients' ears to provide the best communication possible. When she's not in clinic, she enjoys non-competitive running and spending time with her family outdoors.
