If you are looking for a therapist who provides direct feedback, you have come to the right place. Our sessions will be a dialog-a conversation that will provide you with the insight you need to change. In therapy, you will learn how you come across to the people in your life. If there is something you are doing that is not working, you deserve to know about it! I am trained in psychodynamic therapy, as well as family and couples systems therapy. I hold a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Hartford. I enjoy seeing individuals and couples who are motivated to change. If you are looking to make a radical change in your life and to feel more joy, please text me or book an appointment. So what is the first session like? As you open the door to my waiting room, you will hear bells jingling. Don't be alarmed! The bells are on the door to alert me that you are here! I get so engrossed in therapy sessions that sometimes I don't hear the next person come in-hence the bells! Buddy, my therapy dog, and I get so excited when a new person arrives! Buddy's enthusiasm may steal a few seconds of our time. He likes to be reassured that you notice and are eager to know him. After a few minutes, Buddy will fall asleep on your feet, next to the couch, or on the floor by his stuffed animal. I would show you some pictures of Buddy working as a therapy dog, but they are confidential. No one seems to want photos of themselves on a psychologist's website-imagine that! It may be hard for you to make the call or email for your first appointment, but I believe we can do hard things. Looking forward to meeting you. And so is Buddy!
