About Lauren Appiah

Lauren Appiah, DNPc, MPH, MSN, FNP-C, is a nurse practitioner accredited by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bowie State University in 2011. During her nursing career, she developed skills in rehabilitation, critical care, trauma, psychiatric, and cardiac nursing. She then pursued a Master’s in Public Health at Benedictine University, specializing in Epidemiology and Health Education Health Promotion, which she completed in 2016. It was through this program that she discovered a passion for preventative medicine and was inspired to become a provider. Lauren subsequently enrolled at Maryville University, where she earned a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Family Nursing in 2018. As a provider, she has worked in Urgent Care and Retail Health settings. Committed to lifelong learning, Lauren is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at The Johns Hopkins University, concentrating on Executive Health Leadership. She aims to leverage her extensive education and experience to promote health and wellness education within underserved communities through community events.
