I've only been to one eye doctor before so I don't have much to compare Dr Wolitzer to, but she was very professional and kind. She even wrote my two prescriptions based on the way I use my glasses now. Thestaff in the office were also exceptional. I will definitely return next year for my annual eye exam.

1. I really liked Dr. Smith, she has a take charge attitude that I appreciate in an eye doctor, because I'll over think everything they are doing to my eyes and chicken out of half the tests. I personally liked thatshe just went through the routine, explaining the process WHILE doing the tests, instead of telling me what she was going to do first and then doing the test, because i would have talked her out of half the exam! Plus she was very easy going and personable. 2. My appointment was sort of a last minute situation, as i was having issues in my left eye, so I didn't even stop to think if I would need a referral from my doctor, as my health insurance is pretty limiting. The front desk woman brought this to my attention when I got there, and, after calming me down quickly, ended up giving me a discount bc I had not been aware of this situation before coming in. So I thank them for that as well.

I am continuously so impressed and appreciative of Dr. Smith. She is extremely knowledgeable, talented and is able to service the intricacies of my eye needs with such precision and is able to deliver the prescriptions and contacts I need withsuch speed. Truly a gem in this modern world of Drs who often can't take the time to know and service their patients needs. I pay out of pocket to see Dr. Smith and it is worth every penny.

I've been suffering from dry eyes for several months now and she immediately knew exactly what regimen to put me on. I have required eye care since a young child, and have been to many opthalmologists/optometrists over the years. Dr. Smith is an excellent OD. She is personable, professional, knowledgeable and informative. She explains her findings in aclear, concise manner, is non-judgemental and creates a clear plan of care along with you. I moved out of the area, but travel in order to continue to be a patient of hers. I highly recommend her!

It was great except for several charges to receive a prescription for contacts and glasses. They didn't try to hide the fees once I was there like some Dr's so I have to give them good marks for that, but I'venever been charged a fee like that. My past eye Dr. never charged me a few, but this was in NC so the fee may be a NY thing. I'll be looking for a free prescription the next time I need it.

Dr. Smith makes sure you know exactly what is going on, telling you about possible concerns and then explaining them thoroughly (rather than mystifying you with technical jargon). She even drew sketches and showed me what she was talking aboutvia photographs to make sure I knew what was going on. She was extremely thorough and thoughtful. Loved the fact that she "heard" me and confirmed that my vision was in fact complicated. Previous doctors made me feel like I was crazy, She confirmed that there was in fact reason why my vision was off even with correctivelenses. We are now mapping a course to custom fit my contact lenses to sharpen my vision and focus.
