About Dr. Leonard Parilak
Dr. Leonard Parilak was born and raised near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in a small town named Belle Vernon. He is the fourth of four children. Dr. Parilak completed his undergraduate studies and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at The Pennsylvania State University. He then completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. His fellowship in Interventional Cardiology was at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where his training included both coronary and peripheral vascular interventions. The Florida experience was a great educational opportunity, allowing him to work closely with two past and present chairmen of the American Heart Association. This helped him develop a style that goes beyond diagnosing the problem to understanding the disease process and conveying that to his patients. After his fellowship, he practiced Cardiology and taught for a year at Baylor as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Parilak then moved to Las Vegas to be closer to family and friends and to establish his practice.

He has a great bedside manner; he listens, he empathizes and he educated me about my health conditions. I felt encouraged and supported by him. He is friendly and welcoming. I wish more doctors were like him.

I was not impressed. First off he decided that the xray machine could be the cause of why I requested an appt. Then he ordered several test. A nurse friend recommended someone else so we cancelled the tests several times and they still were rebooked by the staff. As for the doctor, I think it was not a personality match. I have no issues with him. That happens and my main problem was that the staff was totally unaware that we cancelled all tests the next business day and ask to have all information sent to a different doctor. I am watching my insurance closely.

Dr. Parilak took the time to explain things. He knows his stuff and actually open to discussion about things relating to his field of expertise. He even spent time explaining my DIET questions and I found it to be very refreshing. Love the feeling of NOT BEING IN HURRY and his focus attention.

Great experience with everyone at this facility! I came in for one test and was recommended for a few which I needed. I had my bloodwork and urinalysis done right there and then instead of another appoinment at a lab. Highly recommended!

Dr. Parilak is wonderful! He takes the time to talk to you on your issues, and explains his thought process so you can understand. He made me feel like I was his only patient and not a number--that's rare in this town!! Truly enjoyable experience, the staff is amazing!

The office location is not the greatest but I was more interested in the care that Dr. Parilak would offer me. After my initial checkup and conversation on the plan of preventive medicine and care he prescribed for me I was correct in my choice. I am looking forward to have Dr. Parilak taking good care of my one and only "heart".

Being I've been around the block a few time (I'm 85 years old) and I have dealt with many Doctors. The very least I can say about Dr. Parilak, he is one of the finest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He also has the reputation as a very fine doctor.
