What should a new client know about working with you?

A new client should know that working with me means being met with empathy, compassion, and respect for your unique life experiences. I strive to create a nonjudgmental and authentic space where you can feel comfortable expressing yourself openly, whether in English or Spanish. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and therapy is a collaborative process that honors your cultural background, values, and personal history. I work with adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including family of origin challenges, emotional awareness and expression, first-generation and immigrant experiences, race-based stress, ADHD, physical health concerns, and mood-related difficulties. My approach is integrative and multiculturally informed, combining evidence-based therapies with a holistic perspective that recognizes mental health as one important part of overall well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Together, we explore how your experiences, relationships, and cultural context influence your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I use an integrative approach, drawing from CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness-based interventions, tailoring treatment to your specific needs and goals. Throughout therapy, we focus on building emotional awareness, developing effective coping skills, and creating meaningful behavior changes that align with your values. I emphasize collaboration and a strong therapeutic relationship, regularly checking in to ensure therapy feels supportive and relevant. Over time, clients often experience reduced distress, improved communication and relationships, and a greater sense of clarity and alignment in their lives.
