Psychologist
1228 SE 8th Terrace, Ste 2, Cape Coral, FL
I am a clinical psychologist and founder of Cape Clarity Integrative Psychology in Cape Coral. I help adults who are living with chronic pain, chronic illness, or cancer, as well as those who are caring for someone they love. Living with a long-term health condition, or supporting someone who does, can affect your mood, relationships, sense of identity, and sense of meaning. My approach is grounded in evidence-based care, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based strategies, and Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy. Together we will build skills for coping with difficult symptoms and emotions while staying connected to what matters most to you. I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Miami. I see clients in person in Cape Coral and via telehealth across Florida.

What should a new client know about working with you?

If you are living with chronic pain, chronic illness, or cancer, or caring for someone who is, I will help you make sense of what you are going through and give you practical tools to move forward. Our work will be purposeful, paced around your goals, with no quick fixes and no open-ended drifting. I will not deny your pain or push forced positivity. You set the tone. Humor, spirituality, and quiet time are all welcome. Come as you are, and we will go from there.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We start with a 75-minute first session, where I get to know your experience in more depth and we clarify what you hope to gain. From there, we build a personalized plan together, with your voice at the center. Sessions are usually 50- 55 minutes, weekly or every other week, in person in Cape Coral or by telehealth anywhere in Florida. I may check in about mood, sleep, relationships, nutrition, and movement, since these all affect one another, and we may practice mindfulness or relaxation skills together in session. There is no fixed timeline. Some people benefit from a few focused sessions and others prefer ongoing support. We review the plan regularly, and if something is not working, we change course.
