About Dr. Lima Redhead
Dr. Lima Redhead is a compassionate, service-driven women’s health professional. She is a practicing OBGYN at Simmonds, Martin, and Helmbrecht’s Rockville, MD, location.
The youngest of eight children, Dr. Redhead was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago before coming to the US for university. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Towson University while living in Baltimore.
After medical school at Meharry Medical College in Nashville and residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Dr. Redhead spent 14 years working with under-served families in the Chicago suburbs. Having recently returned to Maryland, Dr. Redhead is thrilled to be closer to family while continuing to do the work she loves.

It has been well over a year (maybe two) since I saw this doctor and I’m still traumatized by her bedside manner. After receiving a clean bill of health, she immediately insisted I lose weight and continued the conversation when I indicated that I wasn’t interested. Are they not teaching doctors these days about weight vs. health? Her attitude was flippant and she couldn’t fathom that she was wrong in her delivery and her ideal. I still think about how horrible she was to this day.

This office has a lot of confusion. Dr. Redhead seemed annoyed at my visit. Went for a confirmation of pregnancy and got a negative pregnancy test after taking two at home that were positive. She had me give blood to be tested, it’s been almost a month and I still have not heard anything back from her office, concerning the blood I gave. Received a summary of our visit in the mail, only maybe 2 out of the 10 things listed in my summary actually happened. Drove from DC to this location will NEVER be going back.
