About Dr. Linda Barkodar
Dr. Barkodar enjoys building long term relationships with her patients. Her focus is on prevention of disease and maintenance of good health through diet, exercise and when necessary, proven medications. Dr. Barkodar tries to communicate clearly with each patient in order to provide a full understanding of their condition. Her goal is for every patient to be completely satisfied with their office visit.
As a board certified internal medicine physician, Dr. Barkodar received her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She went on to complete her internship and residency in internal medicine at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
When she is not practicing medicine, Dr. Barkodar enjoys hiking, yoga and spending time with friends and family.

I’ve been to this doctor a few times. She’s helpful but her bedside manner left me in tears. She’s very judgy and condescending when speaking to you. If you’re looking for a quick appointment she’s great, but if you’re sensitive to harsh comments she’s not going to be a good fit.

The office staff and wait times are alittle touch and go, but they nice over all. We are in a worldwide pandemic it can’t be easy, so that is easily overlooked.
The doctor is amazing, I have seen many over the years trying to solve what turned out to be a simple problem. She listens and cares, highly recommend.

I've seen this doctor for a while before and liked her but didn't see her for a year due to having a baby. Anyhow, arrived for my physical and the office had none of my records when I arrived - no history - and I was assured I'd be seen just a bit late due to some booking issues. I had childcare booked and a bit late worked but I wasn't brought in until one hour later and after waiting another 25 minutes for no one had to go home. Communication was the main issue here and I had to remind them I was there for a physical a few times and people just looked stunned. Very strange experience overall. Looking elsewhere.

Two hour wait for a 5 min consult; had to run and refill meter twice during that time as there’s limited parking options; the staff seemed a little inattentive, asking me the same questions multiple times after I had already shared everything online and repeated my answers multiple times in person; the doctor was ok, not very friendly or thorough; wouldn’t recommend

I've finally made the decision to change her from being my doctor. I wanted to like this doctor but the office staff and overall experience has been more stressful than helpful. Communication is NOT good here. It takes forever for her to get to your paperwork, and at times it felt like she was viewing it for the first time. Bedside manner could use some serious work. I just didn't feel seen and listened to.

The doctor doesn't do a great job at listening to your requests. She recommended solutions that were the opposite of what I asked for (for example, avoid hormonal BC, avoid prescription drugs that are known to have severe side effects, etc). The doctor also came off as judgy based on the answers to her questions. I stopped seeing her for these reasons. She's fine if you're in urgent need of a doctor, but wouldn't recommend her as your primary doctor.

I was seen very quickly (for a doctors office) and treated so kindly by Dr. Barkodar! I’m really terrified of getting my blood taken and always throw up or pass out, but Dr. Barkodar and the nurse (I never got his name, but he gets 5 stars too!) helped me and it was a breeze. I will definitely come back and make Dr. Barkodar my primary care provider.

She made me feel comfortable and put me at ease. She really seemed interested in my physical well being seeking out to help me with problems outside of the main reason I went in for my visit. Her assistant was great at taking blood and I am squeamish. But I barely felt a pinch.

For starters, we can address Covid. They did not take my temperature as soon as I got in. They waited until I got all the way back in the room, so that isn’t ideal.
Took 2 weeks to get my lab results in, after following up a few times. Then, no one really explained the results. When I asked to have the doctor call me to discuss, I got an office assistant who walked me through the lab report. She was kind, but obviously had no idea what anything meant and was unable to provide any sort of real detail. I resorted to google to figure out everything.
Everyone is nice enough, but the lack of communication is disappointing.

There’s no covid protocol. Didn’t have to sign anything. No sanitizer at check-in. The check-in area is packed. There is no social distancing. They don’t check your temperature until you’re inside an exam room. It’s a lot of people in and out. I loved the doctor I got great vibes from her but everything else made me nervous.

Really wanted to like her, as other reviewers did, but this doctor was a huge disappointment. She had no bedside manner (very rude) and was in and out in about 5 minutes. She didn’t listen to my concerns, follow up as promised, or call in medications. The office wasn’t very helpful either, as I had to call them multiple times to get the meds and my charts sorted. I actually had to physically show up there to get my prescriptions rewritten. Do not recommend.
