About Dr. Linda Zhang
Dr. Linda Zhang was born in Shanghai, China, and moved to the United States at the age of 7. She grew up in Nashville, Tennessee where she graduated as valedictorian of her high school, Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet High. She went to Duke University for college, where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. She then attended medical school at the prestigious University of Michigan where she graduated at the top of her class. She did a one-year internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, and then returned to the esteemed ophthalmology residency program at the Kellogg Eye Center at the University of Michigan. Following her ophthalmology residency, Dr. Zhang did an additional fellowship year in clinical glaucoma at the Kellogg Eye center at the University of Michigan. After her training, she stayed on faculty at the University of Michigan as a clinical instructor, where she practiced general ophthalmology as well as specialized in glaucoma. She recently moved to New Jersey with her husband and children. She has been board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 2013.
Dr. Zhang is well-trained in all aspects of general ophthalmology including the medical, laser, and surgical management of cataracts, dry eye syndrome, and diabetes. She also specializes in the medical, laser, and surgical management of patients with advanced glaucoma. She performs small incision cataract surgery and can also perform cataract surgery using the femtosecond laser and premium lenses. She performs many glaucoma surgeries in the SurgiCare facilities in Warren. She is also an attending physician at Overlook Medical Center in Summit where she serves as a consultant for the Emergency Department for ocular emergencies and trauma.

Dr. Linda Zhang is very thorough. She caught a tiny scar in my retina, which another eye doctor could not find. I do recommend her if you have a vision problem.

The office is nice and most of the people are very welcoming. However, I found Dr. Zhang to be quite the opposite. I felt as though she was trying to get through the appointment as quick as possible. Her bedside manner left much to be desired. I may see a different doctor in the practice or look elsewhere

I am so thankful and lucky to have seen Dr. Zhang today. I have seen many different eye doctors over the course of three years and have consistently had dr’s unable to help me or understand what is going on. Finally, today I know what has been happening!! Dr. Zhang immediately was able to pinpoint what was happening and helped me get the help I need. I am so excited and relieved to finally be able to resolve this issue! Thank you, Dr. Zhang for giving me a thorough explanation of what has been happening and and giving me the help that I need.
