About Dr. Loan Thi Lao
Dr. Loan Lao, a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist who sees adult and children for their eye needs, grew up in Amarillo, Texas and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from West Texas A & M University. She then went on to earn a Doctorate degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Her externship experiences at San Antonio's Veteran's affair hospital, Texas Diabetes Institute and Dallas' Bridge Builders have given her a wealth of different experiences and vast knowledge in her profession. She then relocated to the Dallas area after graduating and has worked at 2 other successful private practices before opening up her own practice. Family, commitment, and faith are extremely important to her, which has carried into her work.

The experience was very pleasant! This was my daughter's first trip to an eye doctor. We were very pleased at the friendliness of the staff. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the door and seen right away. Dr. Lao is very knowledgeable and explained everything along the way. I'm confident that my daughter is in good hands with Dr. Lao.

Dr Lao was very thorough and took the time to ensure an accurate contact lens prescription. This included the initial exam and the subsequent contact lens fitting. She provided answers to all my questions with detailed explanations.

Great experience overall. The glasses seem to be on the pricey side due to the frames they sell, which is understandable, but the care by the optometrist and her staff in explaining everything that's part of the appointment is excellent.
