What should a new client know about working with you?

Many people come to therapy worried they’ll be judged or expected to have everything figured out. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are. My style is warm, genuine, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation rather than sitting across from someone who only speaks in clinical terminology. I enjoy helping people make sense of the patterns in their lives while also giving them practical tools they can use outside of session. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling with anxiety or depression, processing trauma, navigating ADHD, questioning your identity, or simply feeling stuck, we’ll work together to better understand what’s happening and create a path forward that feels realistic and meaningful. I believe lasting change happens when people feel truly heard, understood, and empowered. My goal isn’t simply to help you get through today, it’s to help you build the confidence, resilience, and self-understanding needed to thrive long after therapy ends.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to each person. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed care, and other evidence-based interventions depending on your needs rather than using the same approach for everyone. I believe symptoms often make sense when we understand the experiences, beliefs, and patterns that shaped them. Together, we'll identify what's keeping you stuck, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward lasting emotional growth—not just short-term symptom relief. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or simply ready for change, we'll work together to build a plan that fits your goals and your life. Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I'll take time to understand what's bringing you to therapy, your history, your strengths, and what you hope will be different moving forward. There's no pressure to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin. My role is to ask thoughtful questions, help you organize what's been weighing on you, and start developing a plan that feels realistic and meaningful. By the end of our first session, you'll have a clearer understanding of how we'll work together and the goals we'll focus on throughout therapy.
