She was inputting the previous patient's information right in front of me, while asking me questions and then making me repeat myself because she clearly wasn't paying attention. Talked a LOT about astrology which extended the appointment time significantly. Didn't listen and talked over me.

Dr. Lim was very thorough during our first appointment, going over my medical history and importing my records into her management system. We discussed things in some detail, and came up with possible explanations (though without a specialist'sopinion (which she recommended I seek out) nothing is concrete) for my situation.

The other reviews are pretty accurate- She is a good doctor to use if you need to have your appointment on a Saturday. Pros: I got lost getting to the office and was pretty late. They squeezed me in anyway, whichI REALLY appreciated. After I got into the exam room, she was very interested in me and did not seem rushed, even though she was behind. She filled the prescription I needed and sent it to the pharmacy right away. Cons: When I first arrived, I could hear her and the previous patient having a yelling match in the back. They eventually asked that patient to leave the office. The location is hard to get to- I took one wrong turn and ended up going through a tunnel to Alameda, which caused me to be 20 minutes late to my appointment. Don't try to park right next to the office!

She was friendly, but didn't do any sort of checking up on me. It was mainly just chatting about my diet and symptoms. She does focus more on a nutritional approach to recovery. She's not big on tests or medicine in general.

Dr. Lim is amazing, she takes the time to talk about life and food and diet and work and how it all relates to health aside from what I'm there to see her about. She remembers me and isn't turn style, and has a easy schedule to book which is so hard to find in SF. As my family doctor, I find her very comfortable, and I would highly recommend her as a general physician!

Every time I went to see Dr Mabel Lim the wait time was 30 minutes to an hour. Each time there was something crazy going on such as her yelling on the phone in the back when her patients waiting couldhear her. When I would go in and see her she was very unprofessional and one time she was even eating while talking to me. The last straw with Mabel Lim was when it took her a month to call me with test results and when she didn't show up for the follow up appointment.

She was dismissive and judgmental when she found out what my salary was. She was also not careful with her instruments which in turn caught on my skin and was very painful. Overall dissatisfied and left with a feeling of a back-alley check up.

The environment made me feel unsafe about giving them my PHI. As I sat in the lobby I could hear the receptionist rattle off my personal information while making a claim to my insurance. The only issue there is that so could the other person in the lobby..

Dr. Lim is always extremely prompt and courteous! I appreciate that she remembers the details of my visits and my active work/travel schedule, which makes each visit very seamless. I feel like I get the same care as I did frommy small-town country doctor growing up, and she actually understands my needs and doesn't try to rush me through.

The worst part about my most recent visit with Dr. Lim is that, after finally convincing her that I needed and X-Ray of my back (at my appointment a month earlier she told me to just try stretching...I'd had 3 monthsof back pain), she never followed up with me. She certainly didn't contact me. She didn't respond to the messages I left for her on her voicemail or with her front desk staff. And, one day, when I went to her office during regular hours to try to access my reports in person, the door was inexplicably locked--no signs, no notifications.

Dr. Lim basically tried to prescribe astrology to me! She kept asking me about my 'sign' and my families sign and was able to perfectly incorporate astrological profiles with my current physical and emotional status, along with all my family- wow, no way that's a coincidence! Get out of here. Be professional. I want a doctor, not someone who messes with someone's health with witchcraft. I will not be returning. This is scary! I had to convince her to prescribe me medicine! It was ridiculous. Also, she has no organization to which patients in her waiting room she sees. People got passed who were waiting before me. No one was happy. Stay away if you value your health.

Went for an annual physical which didn't seem to be much more than Dr. Lim asking me a few questions and taking my weight/height and blood pressure and then a LOT of small talk. She was really sweet and fun totalk to but I didn't really feel like I was getting "examined" in any way. Got seen right away. The office is small, with one receptionist/nurse? and that's it.

Watch out for Mabel Lim. She was very aggressive and actually became angry when I told her what I believed was wrong with me. She dismissed my assessment and proceeded to tell me why I was wrong to make my owninterpretations about my health. Needless to say I am now getting the help I need elsewhere and have realized that doctors who do not listen to what their patients say are not equipped to help them. But even if she was able to provide the treatment I desired, in this day and age there is no reason for a doctor to behave in such a rude manner.
