She completed her residency as Chief Privacy Officer, advocating for resident wellness during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her pursuit of a Master of Public Health deepened her expertise in health promotion and disease prevention.
After residency, Dr. Amoateng pursued a palliative care fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center, gaining valuable skills in end-of-life care, symptom management, and communication with patients and caregivers. She has provided exceptional care at Sanitas Medical Center in Katy, Texas, focusing on preventive medicine and collaborating with healthcare teams to prioritize patient well-being.
Previously, she served as a Clinical Specialist and Hospitalist at MD Anderson, ensuring comprehensive care for cancer patients while educating medical students and fellows. The office did call me ahead of time to tell me the doctor was running late. However the doctor prescribed me eardrops for my issue instead of an oral antibiotic which I mentioned to her had helped me with this same issue in the past. I felt like the doctor wasn't listening to me and she told me if this didn't work then when she saw me again in a week, she would finally prescribe the oral antibiotic. I feel like this is a waste of time, money and resources when I could have just been prescribed a zpack which is what has helped me previously.

very thorough and helpful! i couldn't get an appointment with my primary care physician soon enough and Dr. Amoateng was able to see me and get me antibiotics i needed. she was efficient, polite and thorough asking me all the good questions a doctor asks. I highly recommend her.
