About Dr. Mahtab Vaziri

Dr. Vaziri is a Northern Virginia native, having grown up right here in the community she now proudly serves. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 2005, and brings over 20 years of experience in full-scope optometric care to Eye and Vision Care, serving patients throughout Ashburn, Lansdowne, and Leesburg. Dr. Vaziri is passionate about helping patients of all ages see and live their best lives. She has a special interest in myopia control, including orthokeratology (Ortho-K), and enjoys helping families slow the progression of nearsightedness in children. She also has extensive experience fitting specialty contact lenses for patients with keratoconus, and treating dry eye disease and computer vision syndrome, two conditions she sees more and more in our increasingly digital world. What sets Dr. Vaziri apart is the time she takes with every patient. She believes a great eye exam starts with truly listening, understanding each patient's lifestyle, concerns, and goals so she can tailor care specifically to them. Fluent in Farsi, she is also proud to offer care to patients in their native language. Patients appreciate her warmth, thoroughness, and genuine investment in their long-term eye health. Outside the office, Dr. Vaziri cherishes time spent making memories with her family. She has a lifelong love of reading, music and art, and in adulthood took up a new challenge: learning to play the piano. Her patients often say her curiosity and dedication to lifelong learning show up in the exam room too. Dr. Vaziri is excited to continue caring for the Northern Virginia community she calls home.
