I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Health Psychology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, Bronx, NY, and then completed a two-year Fellowship with Dr. Albert Ellis at the Albert Ellis Institute in NYC. My research interest while completing my Ph.D. dissertation focused on geriatrics, specifically Alzheimer's Disease, which led me to work in the Departments of Rehabilitation Medicine at Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx and Staten Island University Hospital. For the past several years, I have been providing consulting work and psychotherapy in nursing home settings as well as in private practice.
