Dr. Pérez Caminero received her Medical Degree from Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. She then moved to Miami and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center and continued her training as a Cardiologist at the University of Virginia. Upon her return to South Florida, Dr. Pérez Caminero further specialized in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
With more than 10 years of experience and board certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Heart Failure and Echocardiography, Dr. Pérez Caminero provides comprehensive cardiovascular care from the exceedingly important preventive cardiology approach, to the management of the most complex cardiac conditions.

It was an incredible experience from the moment I walk in. Friendly staff. Beautiful office. Easy parking. Dr.Margarita was very nice, knowledgeable and help me get on a track with my health. At the beginning I was not sure if visiting a Cardiologist is what I needed. Since my first visit, Dr. Perez showed me she truly cares, immediately I felt I could trust her. She gave me the time and attention I needed to explain my whole situation.
Thanks to Dr. Perez now I’m feeling a lot better and I have finally found a knowledgeable doctor to take care of my heart. Best Cardiologist ever! Highly recommended!!

I was stunned to find out today that I needed the services of a cardiologist. My daughter found Miami Shores Medical Group on ZocDoc and arranged an appointment for me on the SAME day on VERY short notice. It was late on a Friday afternoon of a holiday weekend! When I arrived, the staff was friendly, welcoming and professional, and quickly processed my information.
Dr. Perez is terrific! Knowledgeable, warm, friendly, and professional. She listened to my symptoms and concerns, reviewed my previous tests and medical history. She answered my questions and asked many of her own. Then took some additional tests and fully explained the issues, levels of seriousness , and best solutions.
I arrived at their office unsure of how to move forward but left with confidence and a well constructed plan of attack to restore my cardiac health. Thank you!! Really, thank you!!
