Patient reviews for Dr. Maria Castillo
Friendly efficient and on time. Really listened to me and looked me in the eye. Clearly enjoys her job. I highly recommend Dr Castillo.
Shes a very good GYN doctor. Shes very thorough and easy to talk to.
Great conversation, very easy to talk to, and was open to any questions.
Ceclia, Kathy and Dr Castillo are all so amazing!! I am so happy with the doctor i have
The ladies are so nice and kind...
Great staff. Great doctor. This is my home space
Very nice and informative on my options for birth control.
Went in for my annual Pap smear. Didn’t hear results after 2 weeks so I called which went straight to voicemail during office hours and it’s been 2 weeks and have still not heard back.
Loved her, made me very comfortable and couldn’t say enough good things about her
Didn't get a call back for my lab result, I had to go to their office to get it.
She’s so nice. She always makes me feel comfortable.
lost lab results
I was very pleased with not only Dr. Castillo but also the office and nursing staff. They were all very welcoming and kind. It was my first visit to the office and even had to call about parking (got a little lost). I highly recommend this provider and her practice.
Dr Castillo was amazing. She made me feel very comfortable and talked to me like I was a person not just a client . Very much recommended !!!
Friendly staff, friendly doctor. Knowledgeable and open to all questions and concerns. Takes interest in me and knows my background well. Have gone to Maria for years and wouldn’t change a thing!
Super nice the whole staff!
Bedside manner was lacking and the front desk staff were dismissive.
Saw me super quickly. Talked me through all my concerns and explained everything that was happening. The office is hard to call back for results and appointments and stuff but overall great experience.
Very satisfied with my appt. I was seen right away. Dr. Castillo was very thorough with the appt. asked if we had any questions even though we didnt have any. We didnt get a definitive answer regarding gender but she was leaning towards boy. The receptionist refered us to a gender test and it is def a boy! Overall a great experience. Everyone in the office was so nice!
She was THE BEST!! Very informative and friendly. Comfortable atmosphere and great attitude. I would love to have her as my primary obgyn!!!
I should have turned around at the paper "cash only copays" sign at reception or the stained chairs in the waiting room. I DEFINITELY should have run when they gave me a literal Dixie cup with my name Sharpied on the side for a urine sample. But desperate times call for desperate measures, and I was desperate for answers. (Plus, I was already there.) Staff in this office seemed... well, they aren't hired at actual clinics. I can say that much. Judging by the state of the office (I swear they outfitted the place from a medical supply garage sale), their wages must not be high, and you get what Doc pays for. In the exam rooms, you can hear with crystal clarity what's happening in the next room, so if you're a voyeur or exhibitionist, this might be a great office for you! Doc is friendly and likes to talk a lot but doesn't really provide the right kind of information. For instance, she sent me to get lab tests but failed to instruct me to fast, so I had to go back twice. (After I got a second opinion, I learned she didn't even order a complete workup of tests and ended up diagnosing me on incomplete information.) After my results finally did come in, she put me on a medication without ever explaining the results or how the medication should be used. She just had one of her staff tell me they'd called in a prescription. Bottom line: This office was sketchy af, and I left with way more questions than answers. Maybe she handles pregnancies better than gynecological issues, but if you're trying to find high-quality care, I would steer clear of this office.
She was so easy to talk to and made the whole very awkward process a lot better than I ever expected it could be! I plan to keep going to her practice as long as I can.
She was very kind and it was a very quick visit! Also, I did not have to wait in the room very long till she came in.
I was nervous about finding a good OBGYN that I jived with since I just moved. Dr. Castillo was awesome, down to earth and jumped on a treatment plan for me right away. I'll happily be going back to her
She was fabulous! Extremely personable and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. She made me feel extremely confident!!
All staff is so nice, love my doctor! Really gets me, friendly, very talkative and pick right back up from previous appt. Highly recommend Dr Castillo.
My main concern was with the billing department. I have attempted to reach someone at their office for the last 3 weeks without any success. When you call you are directed to voicemail and I have left over 10 messages in the span of 3 weeks and have not received a response. What is more concerning is that I received an invoice for this office addressed to another person which violates privacy laws. If I could give 0 stars, I honestly would.
Her assistants are super personable and nice. Dr. Castillo is absolutely amazing. Finding the right OBGYN is always the hardest thing for me because its such a sensitive appointment but she is the absolute best. She is very personable and gives you a safe, supporting place and warm bedside manner to discuss your health. The only downside, if any, is that the office itself is very homely. Not a deterrent though.
The doctor may be great. But reception is horrible. Called for fifteen minutes continuously without anyone picking up the phone. And the reception explained the reason being that " she is distracted". I could never trust a doctors office if so unresponsive. Going to change my doc after this one last visit. FYI the reason I was calling is that the google address is totally listed wrong. The listed office is " available for rent ".
Everyone was all over the place, the nurse said they were going to do a couple procedures which the Dr. never did. The nurse forgot to take my blood pressure they forgot to prescribe me prenatal pills. And didn't test me to see if I was pregnant, very ineffective and unprofessional. I rather not go into details in regards to what the lack of precessionalism put me through emotionally let's just say I don't know if I was ever pregnant.
Nurse shouted into my open room through the waiting room with multiple people around "did you already know you had herpies?" and when I asked to see the doctor about one minute after my exam they told me she had gone across the street to go get a sandwich!...I had no chance to ask her any questions or talk about anything I had going on. The staff was extremely unprofessional and had disgustingly inappropriate conduct for nurses. I left feeling completely violated. I will not be going back.
Staff was efficient, wait times extremely short, and Dr. Castillo made me feel very comfortable.
The Dr. and staff were very nice and warm. I am a first time patient, and was nervous, but everyone made me feel comfortable. The Dr is very funny, and I laughed through the whole procedure!
Dr. Castillo and her staff were pretty great. She is very knowledgeable & her staff were professional and friendly .
Very professional, warm and welcoming!
I love her!! She offers vaginal deliveries after having a c section!! Which was very successful with my second child! Truly blessed to have her as my OB doc!!
Dr. Castillo is very gentle and has an excellent bedside manner. I was very impressed. The front and back office girls are also very friendly and with good attitude.
I arrived 15 minutes early, as requested, to check-in. I then waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time to be seen. I was the last person in the waiting room and then heard the doctor say that she had to be at the hospital and that it was passed the cut-off! The girls then must have explained that I had been there on time because I was hastily put into a room. The nurse that took me back didn't even finish taking my information when I was told the doctor would be in. Quickest exam ever without the usual pleasantries and courtesies provided with such an intimate exam...she barely even introduced herself. I understand that things come up, especially in a practice that handles so many pregnancies but I had heard the front desk women talking about how they had a bunch of walk ins and were discussing when they should and shouldn't double book. It was frustrating to say the least! I had no time to ask questions or voice my concerns. I am not even sure I have confidence in any exam results because everything was done so hastily!
Very short wait, Dr. Castillo was great! Very friendly and made me comfortable, i definitely recommend her.
Felt very comfortable with her as my new doctor. Staff very nice & office very clean!
Dr Castillo was great but the front office staff doesn't communicate very well. They don't tell you to arrive early to fill out paperwork, which wasn't a big deal I was still seen very quickly. However one thing that was uncomfortable they yell down the hall about patients, I think it may violate HIPAA rules.
Really nice Doctor. Funny and made sure I felt comfortable. Would highly recommend !
Good & efficient enough. For regular check up, Dr is goid.
She was fantastic. Her staff was friendly and courteous!
She and her staff always make me feel at ease.
It was informative and she was so nice.
It was superb, my first pregnancy. She told me how far along I am & saw to it that I was comfortable for my ultradsound.
Waiting an hour past my appt time. Finally when the dr came in, she talked to me for 2 min and seemed very rushed the whole time. Overall unprofessional
Dr. Castillo was helpful, as well as, considerate to my needs. She is personable and very informative.
