Dr. Maria Mercado is a diligent and trusted cardiologist serving the communities of Rock Hill and Middletown, NY. Dr. Mercado earned her medical degree from the University of the Philippines Manila College of Medicine in Philippines. She then moved to the United States and completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Saint Vincent Hospital. She continued her training by completing a fellowship in cardiology at the same institution.

This was my first visit with Dr. Mercado and she took the time to go over my records from my previous cardiologist. She discussed the records with me and suggestion that I needed to have an EKG, as well as blood work. She also suggested I have an ECHO done within 6 months. She seemed very caring and took the time to listen to me.

She was cold and clearly didn’t care about me as a patient very much.
She was also not very creative in her evaluation of the problem. I’m also really annoyed that it’s been a week and I haven’t heard anything from their office.
