I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Carlos Albizu University, Miami Campus, and hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from the same institution. I completed my fellowship at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital, where I had the distinction of being elected Chief Fellow. My methodology is one of acceptance, genuine regard, and warmth. I view therapy as a collaboration that helps you identify thoughts that affect your mood and actions. Therapy is individualized and tailored to you and your goals and objectives-treatment is not the same for everyone. I specialize in adults (18+) and focus on depression, anxiety, panic, mood instability, and emotional dysregulation, to name a few. I also specialize in couples and marriage counseling. It would be my pleasure to assist you in reaching your goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer an evidence-based clinical approach to psychotherapy. I am trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and find this method to be effective.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

On the first session, we will talk about the issues that you have been struggling with. That will allow us to identify goals and objectives for treatment. Also strengths are noted and positive and negative coping skills identified. From there the treatment is individually based and tailored to your specific needs. My goal is to create a safe place where you can feel comfortable working through your goals.
