“The wait time was not long nurse came in took my pulse and my temperature. She was kind and patient....very pleasant.
Then shortly after the Nurse practitioner came in very polite. She then reminded me she was a nurse practitioners in case I wanted a Dr....but I was fine with her and her beside manner. She explained everything that she was going to do. Then as she did breast exam and pap smear and she was continually explaining what she was doing. and what she was looking for. Very informative!!! Definitely will continue seeing her!!!!”

I was wary of going to this location because they are part of University of Chicago and I have had bad experiences with that hospital. But I said I would try a different location and see what happens. I was disappointed again. I saw an NP and she was scared to do everything I needed. So, I have to go to another place to get the rest of what I need. The office is listed as a primary care office but she didn’t want to do any primary service. She only wanted to do the gyn service. You can’t list more than one problem in Zocdoc, so usually when I make my appointment, I put the most prevalent and let the doctor know what else I need when I get there. This is the first time I had an issue. I have BCBS and have no issues with them paying but she kept bringing up the bill like she felt I wouldn’t pay. Not sure if it was a racial thing or not. I will definitely not return to this office nor recommend it to anyone else.

Horrible waste of time. I gave the office worker my insurance information over the phone. She should have told me on the phone that they didn’t accept my insurance. Horrible!!!!!

She was ok with her bedside manner. I just loathe that Im being proactive about seeing someone about my heart. Then they tell me i have to see a cardiologist. Are you not almost the same thing, and if not why did I waste my time and money?

Predatory billing practices by UChicago medicine and an appointment where the NP needed me to go out of my way and communicate discomfort/displeasure to receive any kind of legitimate care or concern.

Dr. Marian turned out to be a primary doctor and not a gynecologist. An issues came up regarding my appointment in which she was not certified to handle and instead of just sending me away to figure it out on my own she helped me find a doctor that could help me in the building that we were in. She also gave me some alternative options for a procedure that I wanted asap but could not possibly get that day without a doctors order and a couple days wait. Dr. Marian is a wonderful women I loved her spirit and she felt like a grandmother to me.

The appointment was short and she seemed like she was in a hurry. I am still waiting on a test result and it is almost a week later, one that I’d like to note has taken less than 24 hours with other providers. The set up of the room was extremely awkward. The exam table was directly facing the door. The exam while typically uncomfortable was made more so by her sitting diagonally from me causing me to have to shift my pelvis to the side.

Marian was very delightful. She has a very warm and inviting bedside manner. She is extremely friendly, patient, and personable. I will definitely be seeing her again. 5 stars across the board.
Now I know this review is for Marian's level of service, but I wanted to provide insight into my complete experience. The woman who checked me in had an extremely poor attitude, very short and dismissive. The woman who took me to the back was also less than friendly. She mumbled everything and was inattentive. I'll chuck it up as being due to being early on a Saturday morning, but I don't think that's enough of an excuse. Marian needs friendlier staff that complements her outgoing personality.
