About Dr. Mark Macumber

For over two decades, Dr. Mark Macumber's name has been synonymous with excellence in care. Known not only for his exceptional skill but also for his compassionate and ethical treatment of patients, Dr. Macumber has become widely recognized as a leader in the treatment of vein disease. Dr. Macumber began treating vein and lymphatic disease in 1997 as a family practitioner. It was during this time that he realized while comprehensive vein care is a critical component of overall health, it is an incredibly underserved area of medicine-especially given that vein disease affects so many people. Patients simply were not getting the information and treatment they needed to address vein conditions, particularly in the Chicago area. For this reason, in 2015, Dr. Macumber decided to dedicate his practice solely to the care and education concerning vein and lymphatic disease. In addition to treating underserved patients in his Chicago practice, he has dedicated his time to educating and training future generations of physicians as an Associate Professor at Northwestern's Feinberg School of Medicine, as well as holding multiple leadership roles, including Medical Director of the Berwyn Department of Public Health Clinic. Dr. Macumber is a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine and a Board Certified Family Physician. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
