ADVENT offers minimally invasive, in-office procedures such as balloon sinuplasty and turbinate reduction, accepts major insurance plans, and helps patients breathe more freely, sleep more deeply, and improve their overall quality of life. Dr. Williams is a native of Cincinnati, OH where he attended the University of Cincinnati. In 2002, he graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine’s Physician Scientist Training Program. There he obtained his medical doctor (M.D.) as well as his doctorate of philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmacology & Cell Biophysics. To obtain his Ph.D., Dr. Williams studied the regulation of neutrophil-mediated inflammation. During his tenure as a graduate student, he competed for and successfully received one of 10 fellowships from the Association for Academic Minority Physicians and one of 28 fellowships from the famed Howard Hughes Medical Institute. The quality of his research has won for him several national and local awards. Dr. Williams completed his residency training in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine before relocating to Nashville, TN. There he founded the Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists of Nashville. For a brief period of time, Dr. Williams served as the Division Chief for Otolaryngology in the Department of Surgery at Meharry Medical College. For eleven years, he served as an Adjunct Associate Professor for the college.
