About Dr. Mathew Philip
Dr. Mathew Philip believes that true healing requires treating the whole person—mind, body, and soul—with compassion and care. Since beginning his medical career in 2006, he has gained extensive experience across inpatient, outpatient, and complex care settings. He also served as Duly Health and Care’s Chief Medical Officer of Value-Based Care from 2024 to 2025. A deeply personal experience—watching his father battle cancer—shaped Dr. Philip’s commitment to helping patients skillfully and compassionately navigate an often-complex healthcare system.
His goal is always to partner with patients to create thoughtful, individualized care plans that reflect their unique needs and priorities. At the Schaumburg clinic, Dr. Philip approaches complex health issues with simple, effective solutions. I've been seeing Dr Philip for 13 years. Without his excellent comprehensive care I don't honestly believe I'd still be alive today. He pays close attention to my overall health. He's intelligent, articulate & I believe genuinely cares about me as a person as well as a patient. With his guidance I've lost 90 lbs and my A1C went from over 13 to 6.5. Dr Philip and the staff at the Breakthrough Care Center have improved the quality of my life.

I'll have to say there's never been a bad time when I go visit Dr Matthew Phillip He's a great doctor his nurse and anybody else that work there are greatest well I love this clinic and I man I don't mind going to see him when I need to see him they write on time they take care of their business and they treat you with respect and kindness and I like that and anything you ask them they explain it to you and if they don't know the answer they get the answer for you I appreciate all of that I love this clinic very very much, you don't have to worry about good care cuz you definitely get good care.
