About Dr. Matthew Borns
Dr. Matthew A. Borns is originally from Dayton, Ohio and began practice in Charlotte, NC in 2015. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Kentucky, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He has always been passionate about science and problem solving and was introduced to the profession of podiatry when suffering an ingrown toenail. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University followed by completing a three year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency at the Southern Arizona Veterans Hospital in Tucson, Arizona.
Dr. Borns’ professional interests include biomechanics and orthotics, ingrown toenail removal, sports medicine, diabetic limb preservation, and pediatrics.
Dr. Borns is on staff at the Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center and Charlotte Surgery Center. He is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American College of Foot and Ankle Pediatrics, and North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society.
His personal interests are outdoors including golf, hiking, grilling/barbecuing, and spending quality time with family.

Fantastic doctor! He was clear and communicative about how best to treat me. I was late for my appointment but they were still able to get me in and were very kind to me. Google maps was confusing, but that's not the office's fault.
