About Dr. Matthew Duncan

Matthew Duncan, O.D. is a Board-licensed Comprehensive Optometrist. He graduated from the University of Memphis with a B.S. in Biology. He received his Doctorate of Optometry and Bachelors of Vision Science degrees from the College of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Duncan also received additional training at the Filutowski Cataract and Lasik Institute in Lake Mary, Florida and the Clayton Eye Center in Morrow, Georgia. He is also a community outreach scholarship recipient. Dr. Duncan has extensive training in Primary Care, Pediatrics, Contact lenses, Ocular disease, and Surgical Co-management. He is a member of the Georgia Optometric Association and the American Optometry Association. Dr. Duncan sees a wide variety of cases and works to make patients of all types feel welcome and comfortable.

The doctor seemed to know what he was talking about, but the overall experience was definitely lacking. From the start, the person who brought me back had no smile, didn't care that I was there and had no personality. I tried to break the ice, but she didn't find it amusing. When it was the doctor's turn, he treated me sort of like a line worker (get it done and move on). I asked a couple questions, but it didn't seem like he wanted to go into detail due to time. Anyway, I may or may not go back.

They didn't have the contact lenses I have been wearing for 4 years which is a really common brand. I was forced to get a newer brand that was 2x more expensive. I have never been to an optometrist that doesnt have acuvue oasis
